okay okay. so i’m not interior designer, but i do get pretty excited when it comes to decorating my room! 🙂 i may have said this before, but my room has been crazy messy for quite some time. i would try to keep it clean, but then i’d be getting dressed for work (in a hurry) and not have time to hang up my clothes. of course that led to them being all over the floor somehow. and i really really loathe folding laundry. ew. that has to be my least favorite chore haha.

anyway, long story short, one of my goals this year was to clean my room. and guess what? IT ACTUALLY HAPPENED! now, i’m not just talking about picking things up. i’m saying a DEEP CLEANING. i went through boxes and boxes of stuff i “thought” i actually needed and got rid of so much. turns out, you don’t need all those notebooks you’ve been saving since middle school with all of your fashion designs (who knew?) or notebooks of notes from high school. i got rid of SO MUCH. i even put together TWO BINS of clothes for plato’s closet (good luck, right?) and goodwill! that’s my next challenge haha. to actually take my stuff there! haha. i didn’t exactly follow through on that goal last year hahaha.

to reward myself, for cleaning my room and KEEPING it that way (that’s the struggle haha) i’ve been having a lot of fun decorating and planning on ways to make my room more me. 

while i know this living situation won’t be permanent (hoping to also get an apartment this year – dream BIG haha), i want to make it a little cozier and fun to live in. 🙂

the blue definitely isn’t my color, but i’m making it work for now! 🙂 so here’s a peek in to a section of my room i’ve been working on! 🙂 lemme know what ya think! i still have so work to do on it and will probably rearrange the collage again once i get all the pieces. but for now, this is working just fine for me. 🙂

found that “a” at goodwill 2 years ago! glad i could finally put it to use! haha. 

justin’s parents found that little camera for me. i have been obsessed with it! so cute! 🙂 the vase was my papa’s. his favorite color was purple and he just loved the way the colors looked in this vase. needless to say, i must have gotten my taste from him haha. because i love it too! 🙂 

these two little pieces mean so much to me! the journal on the left is FILLED with notes from the p31 conference. so many little nuggets of wisdom and inspiration. definitely something i go to when i need a fresh perspective. and the picture frame on the right is from the conference as well. the organic bloom is a sponsor and gave us these amazing frames! i’m obsessed! 🙂 

the dreamcatcher on the left is my arizona adventure. i lurve it. 🙂 the next two prints are from naptime diaries. i got them to help support a photographer friend on her trip to haiti. i am so in love with these prints and even bought some for my friends as well! 🙂
