Saturday was a hard day for all of us. We all sent Alexi off on her way to the Middle East. Yes, I realize she’ll only be gone for 4 months. But to me, that’s a long time. She’s halfway around the world and we have very little communication with her. I’m gonna miss that little nugget. She’s one of my best friends. We laugh about the stupidest things, have the craziest inside jokes, act like we’re 5 half of the time, and have way too many dance parties in the car. I know it’ll be over in the blink of an eye, but we’re gonna miss her while she’s out discovering the world.
We watched her board the bus and wave by to us as they drove off. We waited eagerly for her text to tell us she landed safely in Amman, Jordan. And we all are having a hard time not being able to just pick up the phone and call her whenever we want.
I love you, Lex and I’m gonna miss you like crazy! Enjoy the adventure of a lifetime! Take lots of pictures for me! 🙂
