i don’t even know how to begin this post because i am just so excited!!! i’m going to try and refrain from overusing all caps and exclamation points! ha! who am i kidding? like that’s really gonna happen! i’m EXCITED and EVERYONE is gonna know it!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 🙂 🙂 🙂

it all started when i first met nikki. she and i were meant to be friends. i say it all the time, because i truly believe God brought us together for a reason. the photography world can often times feel like high school. when you’re first starting out you feel like the awkward freshman who wants to find friends and fit in. i’m still pretty awkward, but thankfully i found nikki and have made a BPF (best photographer friend). i feel so much more at ease to have a friend and ally by my side. we can experience the ins and out of the photography world together. it’s so nice to be there for each other and encourage one another along the way.

one night, we were talking about our dreams and ideas (ya know, the usual) when we both confessed we wanted to do something for other photographers and give back. i mean, that’s how we have learned so much because of so many other generous photographers who have shared along the way. we discussed the idea of a styled shoot and a mingling opportunity when WA-BAM!!!! the “shoot share” came to life. we wanted to created something for photographers of all walks to come together and make friends, while having fun! we decided to not only TALK about our idea, but to put that idea into MOTION! we have been collaborating with amanda burnette (into it) and brainstorming every second we can spare! it has been awesome!

just last week we gathered together to plan, and we had a moment. you know what i’m talking about. that moment when you have an out-of-body experience and you’re saying to yourself, “is this real life?” welp, we had that last week with inspirational music (florence and the machine) in the background and everything. that’s when it really started to sink in. we are putting our ideas to action actually doing something about it! i’m so excited for the things to come and i know it is going to be an awesome experience! i hope you follow us in our adventure! it’ll be worth it!
