oh ariel. what can i say? you are finally at those awkward preteen years EVERYBODY loves. 😉 as annoying as you are sometimes, i’m glad you joined the family 12 years ago. i remember sitting in our then favorite mexican restaurant and hearing the news that our new sibling was on the way! we packed up everything so fast we even accidentally grabbed up the silverware too (whoops!). we rushed to the hospital to be greeted by our dad! none of us knew if we had a new baby brother or a new baby sister. it was a surprise! when we walked into the room to see you and mama, we were still confused bc they had you in a gender neutral blanket. my 12-year-old brain was still confused and we had to ask mama if you were a boy or girl! she said, meet your new sister, ” veronica ariel link.” awwww!!! that was the first time i remember crying from being so happy. must have been because i was going through those awkward preteen years haha. 😉

i hope you have a happy 12th birthday! i love you even though you bug me! i’m glad you were born 12 years ago. pssttt… now you’re the same age i was when you were born! cool huh?
