faith is taking the first step even when you don’t see the whole staircase. – martin luther king jr.

faith. it’s a small word, but a big action. i am reminded constantly how important it is, especially every monday night in bible study. every week we talk about different concepts on where the universe originated. so, for me, that’s a lot of information going right over my head haha.  it’s so hard to fully grasp all of those concepts and theories. science is definitely not my forte. the crazy thing about all of those theories is that no one can fully know which one is the “right” one. that’s what faith is all about, though, right? it’s not logical.  it’s trusting in the unknown. it’s about not being 100% sure about what the “right” answer is going to be at the end of the day, but believing that what you believe is the way.

anywhoooo… i’m not exactly sure how i got off on that little tangent. i just wanted to say how thankful i am for my faith. i am so thankful to know my Jesus. i am blessed to have Someone Who is there for me regardless of how many times i mess up and loves me for me. i am just thankful. that is all. Jesus is awesome. for me, that is what my faith is all about. i can’t fully explain everything about it, but that is what’s so great. He is so complex that even we can’t begin to fathom all He is. it’s GREAT! and i couldn’t think of any better way to sum it up than how martin luther king jr. did. props to him. happy MLK jr. day, everyone!

p.s. shout out to my pastor! he’s the greatest! he brought us yummy panera for dinner. how cool is he? thanks pastor todd! you’re the best!
