okay, i feel like it was JUST friday! why is monday already here? i need another weekend to recuperate from this past weekend haha. this was my last “wedding-free” weekend until the end of june! i’m so glad i got to spend it hanging out with my sisters and justin!
saturday, i tried to be way too ambitious and shoot a sunrise engagement session two hours away AND go to busch gardens after that. well, my body had other intentions. i woke up saturday morning and i must not have heard my alarm clock because the sun was rising and we were not ready to shoot pictures! haha. thankfully, i called my couple and they were so understanding. they said they needed to clean the horses anyway so they’d be ready for their pictures and it all worked out. i was so upset that because i felt like i let them down, but they were so sweet about everything.
later on saturday, i went to busch gardens for the first time in like, 5 years! it was so fun! i was afraid i wasn’t going to like roller coasters any more, but thankfully that didn’t happen! we started off the day riding apollo’s chariot in the front row! woohoo!!! i loved getting to have fun with my sisters and justin. and while it was a little bit busy at BG, the weather was perfect and we had so much fun! we even waited in line to ride the griffin FRONT ROW! gah! that’s my absolute favorite! i just love dangling over, never knowing when you’re gonna drop. i like to close my eyes and just let my arms and legs feel loose too! i love the free fall! maybe i should try sky diving?!?! haha. we’ll see! 😉
we even ran into my sweet friend carly while we were at BG and i saw a friend from my work too! so fun! and being the crazy people we are, we drove from williamsburg to esmont, va. which is past charolettesville that night! it actually ended up working out for the best, because it took us a while to find where my couple lived. i’m glad we decided to do it that night instead of driving around that morning and missing the sunrise again! haha. that would have been just my luck!
sunday we got to experience such a beautiful sunrise and i got to spend time with some of the kindest people! it was totally worth getting up early for! 🙂 i even made a new furry friend, rukus! 🙂 and if that wasn’t enough, we made our way back into to town, had breakfast with justin’s sister and her boyfriend, took a long nap, AND caught the end of the greek festival. my first time having authentic greek food was amazing! gyros?!?! what have i been missing out on?! they were so good! and greek yogurt pops?! YUM!!! i need to make me some of those!
whew! after reading all of that, i need to take another nap. back to work, though. can’t wait to see my cute kiddies!
how was your week? did you do anything fun or catch up on rest? i wanna hear about it!
happy monday, friends! 🙂
