“I used to think you had to be special for God to use you, but now I know you simply need to say yes.” Love Does
Ahhh!!! That’s me, with Bob Goff! He’s one of my favorite people. I’ve only met him once, but I feel like we could be best friends. He has such a kind heart and just LOVES God so much. It’s amazing! His book is one of my favorite books of all time. I recommend it to everyone. Seriously, I’m one of those people who will meet someone new and somehow this book always gets worked into the conversation. I’ve even given all of my copies away. I’ll go buy a new one and then I feel the need to give it to someone else who needs it more than me. That is how powerful this book is. I just feel like everyone needs to read it. It gives you such a new perspective on life and how to love others.
Bob does a great job loving others like Jesus does. In this book, he shares his adventures about loving people. He does crazy awesome things and small ordinary things just to show people he cares. Isn’t that what it’s all about? Isn’t that what God wants from us? We were made to love. We were made to love God and love others. This book is a great example of that. To me, it’s just so inspiring and makes me want to be better at showing love.
I first found out about the author, Bob Goff, when I went to the Pursuit 31 Conference. He was one of my favorite things there! I had started to read some of his book before the conference and dug into the rest of it afterwards. I’ve read it so many times, yet always take away something new from it. I even downloaded the audio version so I can listen to it on road trips haha. #nerdstatus I know I’m obsessed, but when you read this book, you will be too.
This brings me to the five-day challenge. I just got an e-mail for it last night and I’m so freakin’ excited! It’s a total God-thing. I can’t wait to love on others more. Sometimes, the only Jesus people see is through you and your actions. I don’t know about you guys, but that’s pretty crazy to me. That’s why I feel it’s so important to love on those around you and take care of each other. I’m excited about this challenge because I know I don’t always love on others the way I should. I can’t wait to let this work in me.
