one of my favorite things about the Christmas season is putting together a shoe box for operation Christmas child. it is an amazing organization that my family and i have been apart of for many many years. i can’t even remember when we first started doing it. THAT is how long ago it was haha. it’s a great way to give back. if you’re like me, you’re on a budget, and these things are very budget-friendly! i like to go to the dollar store and gather everything there. they like toys, candy, art supplies, sunglasses, socks, hats, soap, toothbrushes, pencils, drawing pads, etc. once i get all of that,  i come home, lay everything out on the table and get to work. i feel like one of santa’s elves when i put these together. i try so hard to fit as much as i can in the shoe box. it’s like playing tetris trying to make everything fit in its exact spot haha. for more information on what to pack in your shoe box and where to send it GO HERE! have a peek into my shoe box. i put mine together for a sweet little boy. i really hope he likes it! you can even include a personal note in the gift too! i need to get on that! 😉
