at 5:45 this evening, i will embark on my new adventure. to say i’m completely elated, would be an understatement. and to say i’m not nervous in the slightest would ALSO be an understatement. haha. some amazing things are happening over the next week:
-visit justin’s family in bedford
-engagement session in roanoke
-visit my nana and aunt/uncle/cousin in nc
-head to georgia
-see my BEST FRIEND ANNA from high school!
-go to the P31 CONFERENCE!!!!!!
-head home
-cailin and stephen’s wedding!
-celebrate my dad’s birthday in charolettesville with his side of the family (some are coming in from CA! – that’s you, aunt peggy!)
-jessie and corey’s engaement session
PHEW! looking at that list just gave me butterflies! i’m so excited and even more grateful for these opportunities! reflecting on this makes me realize just how blessed i am! with all of these amazing adventures ahead, i can’t help but feel a little bit anxious. unfortunately, i have been hardwired to be an anxious person since i was a little girl. i don’t know why traveling and lots of activity makes me feel like this, but it does. it doesn’t matter how excited i can be for something, i can still go into a mode of panic. with all of the hype lately, you can bet that i have been a bundle of nerves! i LOVE going to new places, but getting there always drives me crazy (no pun intended ;).
i’ve been praying for peace, comfort, and safe traveling mercies. the pursuit 31 conference that i’m attending is such an amazing opportunity! a group of christian women photographers are gathering together to grow in God and i am so excited. i NEED this! God knows i need to recharge and get refreshed. He knows i need to draw close to Him and i’m so excited for this chance to do so at this conference. it’ll be nice to escape the normal craziness of my life. i won’t have to worry about my full-time job, or taking care of the little girl i watch in the morning before work. i won’t have to worry about editing sessions, my business, or family drama. i get to spend time with women who are there to grow in God and make their businesses center around Him. i have a feeling that once i get there, i won’t want to come back haha.
i am also SO excited to visit with my sweet friend, anna! i haven’t seen her in over a year! we have been friends since my junior year of high school! and back in 2012 i had the honor of being one of her bridesmaids when she got married! i am so thankful for our friendship and cannot wait to spend time with her before i go to the conference! i really am going to be spoiled so much this week! i am going to miss my loved ones, but i am so excited for what lies ahead! let’s just hope my anxiety doesn’t get the best of me! feel free to pray for me! your prayers are more than welcome!
i can’t wait to share about my experience when i get back! it’s going to be epic!
