The week before their elopement, Kristen and I were a little frantic. She and Dave were planning on getting married by the Chesapeake Bay in an intimate ceremony. Hurricane Florence, however, had other plans! Their venue called and canceled the elopement due to the trajectory of the storm. Thankfully, Kristen and Dave were super calm! Kristen was so chill and concocted a back-up plan right away! I feel like it turned out even better! 🙂 

She found the cutest Air BnB along the James River with a private dock for the ceremony. It was perfect!!! AND we ended up having awesome weather for their ceremony! The sun even came out too!!! It all worked out perfectly! 🙂 

Kristen and Dave wanted to have an intimate ceremony and do some type of bigger celebration later on when Dave comes back from Afghanistan! He was scheduled to deploy a week after they got married for 9 months. Having a private ceremony was a good fit for them and gave them more time to celebrate each other and their marriage. 

I LOVED being a part of their ceremony too. It was so sweet and personal! Kristen got emotional when saying their vows and I might have been right there with her! They were so sweet! 

I’m so excited for these two! Be safe overseas, Dave! Congratulations, you guys! 🙂
