Some days you will feel on top of the world, ready to conquer anything. Other days you are so exhausted it takes everything in you to mark one thing off your to-do list.
I’ve had a lot going on the past couple of weeks. By the time I get home, my body is ready for bed. And sometimes that means not blogging consistently. Sorry, guys! I love blogging! It’s a form of expression for me and I enjoy it. I’ve been trying to be better about taking care of myself, and sometimes that equates to blogging 3 times a week vs. 5. I’m having to accept that that is the season I am in right now.
As much as I love blogging, I’m also learning I need to take care of me too. Sometimes I have to sacrifice a blog post for a good night’s sleep or a Zumba class. It’s not easy, but I’m learning to be okay with it. As much as I would like to do everything, it’s not possible or healthy. In steps: balance.
Right now, this is something I’m having to learn and apply to my life. Don’t worry, I still love blogging and want to share with you guys regularly. Just know that on a day I didn’t blog, it means I’m taking care of myself. Which also means I’m able to take care of my business better. Make sense? I hope so! It’s like the airplane rule. You have to put your own oxygen mask on before you help someone with their mask. We need to help ourselves before we can help others. I can’t help take care of someone on their special day, if I’m not taking care of myself, right? Right! 🙂
So yeah, those are just my thoughts. If I miss a day blogging, check back the next day. Or, if you really miss me, just follow me on Instagram! 😉
P.S. I hung out with some pretty amazing women last night and totally didn’t stick to my own rule of going to bed on time. But hey, it’s a work in progress! 😉 More on this fun time soon!
