so here it is. these are the lovely photographers i like to stalk learn from on a daily basis. if it weren’t for them, i would not be the photographer i am today. yes, that might sound super cheesy and cliche, but hey! it’s the truth. i have learned so much from these photographers and their blogs. i feel like i’m still in college sometimes with all the reading i do. i have my routine every evening. whenever i get on my computer, i scroll down facebook and open up their latest blog posts. then i am absorbed into the world of photography for who knows how long. i soak up as much info as my tiny brain can take. from learning how to brand your photography, to the mechanics of your camera, and the technical side of the business, i have learned SO MUCH. the internet is such a great resource. if you have to go out and spend $100s on photography books, you are cray-cray. you can get all the info you need right here. i hope you enjoy. be sure to show some love to some of my favorite photographers. obviously, i couldn’t fit all of them into this one post. these are just the first that popped into my head and that i feel like have had the biggest influence on me thus far. thanks for checking out the latest installment of “thursday thirteen.” i hope you enjoy it!

1. katelyn james 

golly! where do i begin? katelyn is so sweet and such an inspiration. i am an avid follower of her work and look forward to her posts. she is an excellent teacher with a very giving heart. she has no problem helping others in this industry and i admire that so much. i have learned so much from her and i am truly grateful. she also has an amazing heart for the Lord and it shines through in all she does. i hope that one day i will be able to meet her and learn from her in person. she is an awesome lady and i know she will continue to go far because she keeps God first. 🙂

2. jasmine star

this lady has such a sassy personality and i LOVE it. i remember the first time i really fell in love with j*. i found  footage of her online speaking at a conference. i was only planning on watching it for a few minutes, but i was hooked and ended up glued to the screen for the next hour. she is very honest and genuine. i love that! she is a spitfire and excellent at what she does. i also love that she shares what she learns with others and encourages them. it’s so refreshing!

3. amanda hedgepeth 

amanda! i love this little ball of fire. she is so spunky and you can see she would do anything for her baby girl. you KNOW she is a hard worker in all that she does. she is a photographer and a full-time mommy! that is a lot. more power to ya girl! i love her page and her posts. they have such heart behind it. 🙂

4. lauryn galloway

the one word that comes to mind when trying to describe lauryn is eclectic. she has mad style and i love her personality. she seems so fun and down to earth. i look forward to her posts and love seeing her tweets! you should definitely check her out.

5. kristin partin 

i have been a fan of kristin’s work for a while now. i remember one night, while i was at longwood, i stayed up until the wee hours of the morning because i was so absorbed in her blog. i went through every post and was just so inspired by her pictures. i love her styled shoots and her work still continues to take my breath away. amazing! keep up the great work girl!

6. katlin noel 

this girl loves GLITTER just like me! she has attitude and flare. it’s awesome and it definitely shows in her work. i love how real she is and how she’s honest with her struggles. it gives me hope. plus, she’s really nice. 🙂

7. kristen booth 

i love love love her! she does THE BEST styled fantasy shoots. i can’t wait for the next installment. you should definitely check her out. she also let’s the Lord shine through in all she does and is not afraid to show it. she is such a sweetheart and you should definitely visit her site. she’s great!

8. abby grace

i found out about abby, through katelyn’s site. i really love her spunky personality. she always has something positive to say. i really like that. she has also been dabbling in the world of film photography and i really respect her for going back and learning the fundamentals of where it all started, because film is not easy. she has a lot of cool blog posts, you should definitely check her out.

9. rebekah hoyt

rebekah is awesome. she has been really great about helping other photographers who are starting out. she has a great segment called, “fotog friday” where she teachers a new aspect on photography. it is really helpful and definitely a blessing.

10. katie nesbitt 

i really look forward to seeing katie’s latest shoots. i especially love her blog posts on her monthly reviews in instagrams. it’s awesome. she is not afraid to voice her mind and i love it.

11. ashley barnett

these ladies have such style and class. i love their work and how passionate they are. plus, who doesn’t love the name ashley?

12. rachel brenke 

this lady is like superwoman. she is a lawyer, a photographer, a wife, and a mom! whoa! that makes me tired just typing it out. mad power to her. PLUS she hosts a lot of workshops and opportunities for fellow photographers to learn. she’s really helpful and is always offering discounts on her lessons. don’t be afraid to check it out. her last giveaway was an iMac. eeeep!

13. justin and mary
