so, as promised earlier, here is is a photo session of a beautiful friend of mine. her name is also ashley and her friendship is so dear to me. it’s really crazy how we met, actually. my family and i were planning on going to my cousin’s graduation and one of her friends lived close to us and needed a ride. my first thought was, “we don’t even know her and we’re gonna be chillin’ with her for 5+ hrs. sounds like a blast. NOT!” haha. sorry ash. then, i put my facebook stalking skills to use and tried to see who she was. turns out we played volleyball against each other in high school. GREAT! she played for the rival team. things just got better and better. this was going to be one awkward car ride.

when we saw her at graduation we exchanged “hellos” and that was about it. she seemed really perky and like we wouldn’t have anything in common at all. the time finally came to board the car and embark on our road trip. out of politeness, we started small talk. we started talking about random things and realized we were SO MUCH alike. we both secretly liked watching the disney channel! score! definitely meant to be friends! haha. we found out that we had so many things in common and we spent the whole trip flapping our jaws. i just met her and i felt like we had always been friends. must have been a God thing. He knew i needed a solid, girl friendship in my life and he brought me ashley. that was back in 2009 and we have been best friends since.

i love ash! we always have so many crazy adventures. one time we drove all the way down to va beach for a day trip and right after we got there a terrible storm came and we had to drive back haha. no tanning for us! we always have sleepovers and just stay up ’til the wee hours of the morning talking about EVERYTHING. we have the kind of friendship where we can hang out and do fun things, but also just chill and watch tv. it’s the greatest! i am so blessed by our friendship, ash and i can’t wait to see you again! thanks for coming with me to my first official photo shoot for a local magazine! you’re the best! here are some of your beautiful pics! 🙂 love you!
