Weekend Recap

This weekend was a little different than most! I didn’t have anything photography-related going on at all! It was a little weird, but I made sure to enjoy my break! 🙂

I had off work on Friday and got to spend it by the pool with my main squeeze! 😉 Thankfully, we both had that day off because Justin had to work on the 4th of July! It was fun to have some quality time without any plans!

Saturday, Amanda and I traveled to High Point, North Carolina to see my Nana and some of our family who live down there! We had some yummy seafood, saw fireworks, and enjoyed time with family! I even got to sleep in past 9 0’clock and it was glorious! I don’t even remember the last time I did that!

Unfortunately, our drive back from North Carolina wasn’t that great! We hit some nasty storms and had to pull over multiple times! There was hail and torrential downpours. If you know me, you know I hate storms and driving in them is one of my biggest fears! Praise Jesus we made it home safely!

We ended our weekend seeing Tomorrowland at the Byrd Theater (one of my favorite places!). It was such a fun movie. One of the parts that stuck out to me most was when they were talking about the dreamers in our world and how they needed to stick together. It was pretty cool and inspiring! Just my two cents! 😉

How was your 4th of July weekend? I heard it rained in the Richmond area. Were y’all still able to see some fireworks and enjoy a fun cookout? Tell me about it! 🙂

I’M  Ashley

a Richmond, Virginia WEDDING & PORTRAIT Photographer

I’m Virginia Ashley, but my friends just call me Ashley! I’m a wedding photographer based in Richmond, Virginia. Even though I live in RVA, I travel all over for photography, which is awesome because I LOVE to travel! I’ve been as far as California and have my passport burning a hole in my pocket!
