EASY SPRING ENTERTAINING CHECKLIST

no words will do this story justice there was a lot of emotion and it was beautiful a wonderful celebration

no words will do this story justice. there was a lot of emotion and it was beautiful. a wonderful celebration of life.

back in september, the sweetest lady ever, lost the love of her life. he was her forever love, her best friend, and her husband. he had been battling cancer on and off throughout the year (since about february i think). it was a tough road, but mrs. kimmick always handled it with class. i had the pleasure of getting to know mrs. kimmick when i started working at redeemer. i remember being floored with sadness when we heard the news of his diagnosis. i know life is not fair, but i really was upset. why did mrs. kimmick deserve to go through this? she’s such a wonderful person. why does she and her family have to experience such heartache? my heart broke for her then and it ached even more when we found out he had passed away.

i never knew dave (her husband).  i remember seeing him one time at work. he came to school to drop off lunch for his granddaughter (chick-fil-a, i KNEW he musta been awesome then). i may not have known him, but i do know this. he LOVED his family. his granddaughters looked up to him so much and he was loved by them with all their hearts. and the way mrs. kimmick talked about him, you could tell they were soul mates.

it’s so devastating to lose someone before we think it’s time, but at the same time it’s comforting to know they are in a better place. he’s not suffering from cancer anymore and no longer hurting. i hope this brings them peace. and one day, they will all be reunited again. there will be no more sadness. God will make sure of that one day. it even says so here: “He will wipe every tear from their eyes. there will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away. -revelation 21:4”

mrs. kimmick, being the awesome person she is, didn’t make a big commotion about having a funeral. instead she focused on having a celebration of his life. were there sad moments? of course. but it focused on the memories he left behind and comfort from friends. it was beautiful. i am so honored to have been apart of something so special. thank you for letting me in on some vulnerable moments and trusting me to capture them.

if you are a prayer, feel free to pray for mrs. kimmick and her family. they are so sweet. she’s always been there for me, and even when she’s going through the ringer, she always knows how to smile. she is even so cool, she encourages me through my rough times. she’s so selfless and wonderful. i love you mrs. kimmick! i’m always here for you!

i hope this bring back some happy memories! ♥
