okay, so let me start off by saying i am NOT a food photographer haha. i tried my best with the orange indoor lighting! haha. it was a good challenge stepping out of my normal photography comfort zone. i will definitely be trying this more often! it was fun, different, and the end result wasn’t too bad if i say so myself! ๐
i was online and saw the recipe for these DELICIOUS looking cookies! i was a little weirded out at first, by putting dark chocolate and pistachios together, but quickly got past that road block. i am so glad i did! such a great combination! i should have known it would be good since i LOVE the salty/sweet combo! YUM!!! ๐
here are the ingredients:
1/2 cup (1 stick) ย unsalted butter, at room temperature
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups dark chocolate chips
1 cup shelled pistachios, coarsely chopped
**the recipe also suggests putting smoked sea salt on top of the cookies! YUM! unfortunately i did not have this, so my cookies lacked in this area. i’m sure both recipes taste yummy, though! ๐
step #1 – melt the butter and pour that on top of the sugar and brown sugar; mix together.
step #2 – add the egg, vanilla, baking soda, and salt
step #3 – blend together
step #4 – add flour, chips, and pistachios; stir
step#5 – scoop a spoonful of the dough and make a ball to place on the pan (TRY YOUR BEST not to eat the cookie dough – trust me, i know how hard that is!;)
step #6 – turn oven to 300 degrees and bake cookies for around 18 minutes or until golden brown!
step #7 – pour yourself a cold glass of milk and enjoy your treat! share if necessary! ๐
**lemme know what you think about this post! if you like it, i’ll try to do more! ๐ **
