AHHHH!!!! I can’t believe I’m saying this! Justin and I are engaged!!! Is this real life?!?!?!

It feels so weird and kinda not real. Like I’m dreaming and waiting for my alarm clock to wake me back to reality!

I had booked a photo session with Amanda Hedgepeth MONTHS ago! Like back in January months ago! haha. I planned the session because I wanted Justin and I to have professional pictures of us together, plus have an excuse to take a mini-vacation! Little did I know all he had planned. 😉

People keep asking if I knew he was going to propose, but honestly I had no idea. I was HOPING he would propose, but didn’t want to expect anything. Plus, Justin is one of the most honest people I know and I figured since he is so bad at keeping a secret that he definitely wasn’t proposing this weekend. I kept giving him a hard time, but had come to terms with leaving the beach without being engaged.

Welp, we had started our session with Amanda (God bless this little ray of sunshine!), and we were about 20 minutes in when Amanda told him to whisper something in my ear to make me smile. He couldn’t keep it together any longer. He turned towards me and told me he couldn’t do it anymore. Justin then revealed he’d had the ring for THREE YEARS and that he wanted to marry me!!!!

I was like, “WHAT?!?!! Are you serious?! Is this a joke?! It’s a joke. You’re kidding.” Then he got down on one knee and he asked me to marry him. AHHH!!!!

We are both so happy and overjoyed by all the love and support we’ve received!!! Thank you to everyone for the kind words!!!

Thank you Rachel for my hair and makeup! I’m so glad you were in the OBX! And thank you AMANDA for being there for this moment! We wouldn’t have wanted anybody else to capture that memory! We love you guys! Thank you!!!
