I have been meaning to share this post for quite some time, but have never gotten around to plugging in all of the details for it! I’m so excited to finally share the delightful places we ate at during our trip to Charleston, South Carolina!

If you know me and Justin, you know we are total foodies! We love to try new restaurants and delicious food! Charleston was the perfect place to expand our palette! We loved it so much! Putting this post together made me miss Charleston and also made me super hungry! haha.

I wanted to share the places we tried in Charleston! If you have any other places you’ve been to, I’d love to hear about them. Hopefully we can go back again soon and try some new restaurants!

Okay, enough talking, onto the main dish! 😉

Charleston Eats:

Callie’s Hot Little Biscuit

Yum yum yum! Nothing screams Charleston more, than a delightful little biscuit place! When we went, I got the ham biscuit (YUM), Justin enjoyed the sausage gravy biscuit, and we split the cinnamon biscuit (great choice)! They even sell the mixes too, if you’re brave enough to bake them yourself!

Poogan’s Porch

Justin and I ate here on our last night in Charleston. It was our most expensive meal of the trip, but definitely worth it! It was one of our favorites too! The scallops (my favorite) were the best I’ve ever had and Justin thoroughly enjoyed his shrimp  ‘n’ grits! It was such a fun place to eat at and we’d love to go back again and try the brunch too!

Jeni’s Ice Cream

Guys, we ate ice cream every night! This was probably my favorite of the trip, though. They let you get two flavors and they have an awesome selection! I also just found out, they sell it in different stores too! I’m gonna jump on that for sure!

Belgian Gelato

This was the first gelato place we tried and it was the perfect treat after walking around and exploring Charleston!

Early Bird Diner

Guys, I’m being serious when I say I still crave these chicken and waffles!!! BEST chicken and waffles I’ve ever had! I’ve tried to get chicken and waffles at other places, but nothing has been able to compare!

Hyman’s

This place was a last minute decision, but definitely a great surprise! The Carolina Delight was the highlight of the evening. It was a spin on the traditional shrimp ‘n’ grits. They used fried grit cakes and that made the meal! YUM!!!

Pearlz

We stumbled upon this place on accident after our photo session one night. We decided to try the tapas and they were awesome! Of course, Justin had his shrimp ‘n’ grits and I had my scallops! But who would have thought of pairing a scallop with gnocchi and pecans?! Such a wonderful combination of flavors!

Charleston Café

This little hole in the wall was one of our favorites! We actually had to travel to the more suburban part of Charleston for this place. We were a little unsure when we arrived, but as soon as we got our food, HOLY MOLY! We could not stop raving about this place! The potato casserole (on the right) was to die for! That was their signature creation (they had multiple versions) and it was so good! We even still talk about having that for breakfast again! haha. This is definitely a place to try out, if you visit Charleston!

Fleet Landing

This was the first place we stopped to eat when we arrived in Charleston! It had the best views too! We sat outside and got to enjoy the beautiful surroundings while enjoying our yummy meal

Kaminsky’s

We were told we had to visit this place because their desserts were phenomenal! When we went, I got a brownie and Justin got a vanilla bean milkshake. We saw a lot more extravagant desserts being prepared when we were there, but we were so full we got something basic to eat back at the hotel room! haha. We’d love to try it again, though!

Well, that’s my little rundown of the places to try in Charleston! I hope you find this post helpful and that it didn’t leave you just hungry! ????
