Valentine’s Day Adventure

Eeeee!!! So this weekend Justin and I had some fun adventures around Richmond. I also unplugged for most of the weekend and took a break from social media. Justin doesn’t always like having to share his time with me being on my phone, which is completely understandable. So, part of my gift to him was to hang out without being distracted by the online world. It was super nice! I definitely need to do it more!

We normally don’t do much for Valentine’s Day because it really is just another day to us. Sorry to all you die-hard Valentine’s fans. But after Justin read my date-night post, he came up with a fun adventure for us to do!

We had 3 different courses and 3 different restaurants! Our first stop was Proper Pie Co.! YUM! Seriously, I can’t wait to go back again. Technically this was supposed to be our “appetizer” place haha, but how could we resist trying a dessert pie? It was super busy when we went and once we tasted the pies, we knew why! We can’t wait to go back again! 🙂

In between our “appetizer” and dinner, we had our first geocaching adventure! You guys!!! It was so much fun!!! I felt like a pirate going on a treasure hunt. Except, I was a terrible pirate and if there were real treasure involved, I would be empty-handed haha. Justin was great at it. I just overanalyze everything haha even the hiding location. This is definitely a new hobby of ours and we can’t wait to do it again! If you’ve never done it, you should try it!!! Maybe not when it’s super cold, though haha.

Next up, we went to Toast for dinner. We kinda cheated again and had an appetizer with our dinner haha. We I really suck at not trying new things. When you’re at a new place it’s hard to just stick to one item to try haha. My bad. They did have some delicious food! I got a Cuban Rueben,! Yes, it’s as good as it sounds! We also tried Pimento Cheese Won Tons! Yum!!! 🙂 V.A. Photography Richmond Virginia Wedding Photographer_2326V.A. Photography Richmond Virginia Wedding Photographer_2328

Finally, we stopped at Shyndigz for dessert. This place was hoppin’ Everyone kept cramming into the restaurant, so we knew the dessert would be worth the wait. We can’t wait to go back again! Even though it was super crazy, we loved it! Two words: Nutella Brownie! haha.

Photography Richmond Virginia Wedding Photographer_2330My 4 times at the gym this week was definitely canceled out by all of this amazing food! haha. Good thing Lent is coming up. Time to crack that whip and eat healthier! But that’s a different post for another day. 🙂

How was your weekend? Try anything new? Go on a fun adventure?! I’d love to hear about it!!! 🙂 🙂 🙂
